Globalization is a term used to describe how trade and technology have made the world into a more connected and interdependent place. This course will examine the political and economic aspects of globalization including new forms of global governance, economic models and the consolidation of global production and trade. Discuss the consequences of colonialism and neoliberalism in different geographic regions. Explore a wide variety of global issues on different continents such as the economic success of China and India, the global trade trends in Africa or the creation of the European Union.
