Sociology provides links between human behaviour and the social environment. This course explores the diverse perspectives that may be used to explain the connection between behaviour and social world. It demonstrates the way systematic studies are used to promote questions of assumptions about social life. Particular areas of study include social structure, social interaction, inequality of race, ethnicity and gender, the family, population, and social movements and social change.
